Our company produced a manipulator for rail package re-laying order by one of the largest Russian manufacturers of rolled rails in order to perform reconstruction of the rail and beam unit. The manipulator is designed for displacement of various rail packages among the production lines. The rails are delivered to the receiver (designed for 4 rails) and after that they are put to the roller table for further transmission to the area of finishing of long items. The manipulator holds cargos by means of a magnet. The manipulator control system based on the Siemens technology allows variation of the involvement of operators. One can select a manual, semi-automatic and automatic operation mode. The manipulator control system is completely integrated into the control system of the whole production facility. The distribution of rail packages among the four lines is performed automatically by means of the positioning system.
